The kit comprises of two adapters. European style adapter has two fixed round pins and can be used in most European, African, Middle Eastern and South American countries. This plugs straight into sockets and will automatically connect the earth terminal if available. North American/Australasian style adapter has two flat pins that can swivel between a parallel and an angled position. This enables the adapter to be used in North American countries where the pins need to be parallel, and in Australasian countries where the pins need to be at an angle. Note. North American countries usually operate on a 110v/120v system. Australasian countries are usually 230v/240v.This adapter allows UK plugged equipment to be used with foreign sockets. It does not convert voltage. It is important to ensure that the voltage of your appliance is compatible with the voltage of the foreign socket. Many travel appliances automatically allow for differences in voltage, but if in doubt you should seek advice locally.
